I saw GWAR last night.

You sure? I think I remember them closing it down and moving... maybe it was for renevations...

The Living Room has most definitely moved (early 90's I think?). It used to be a shoebox in a warehouse district (used to go there to see Max Creek way back a long time ago). Now it's in a different part of town near some fast food joint or something.

I liked the old place better. :spit: :D

ahhh I see... It has been about 10 years or so, but I opened for Belly and Screaming trees at BabyHead...

The Livingroom I know has had some 'chang-a-rooney's' since I was first going there with the members of the band that is now called The Slip.

Prov is great city... Satin Doll! :bassist:

Wow that's a blast from the past.... You know that CQBASS (tb'er) gigs in and around with MC, Percy Hill and Jiggle the Handle?

I'm sooo out of the loop regarding live music, though I do remember seeing Jiggle the Handle in the past (how can you forget a name like that?). Is there any decent online place to find out where these bands are playing? (Guess I should do a google search eh?)

[edit]
Found www.jigglethehandle.com . I saw one of their guitarists jamming with Mark Mercier (Creek keyboardist) and some other folks at the Arch St. cafe some time back. He seemed like quite the accomplished guitarist, although he's so big the guitar looked more like a ukelele on him. :)

Wow, the Slip? Really? They're getting really far in the jam-band world...

Actually all of the members of The Slip went to Tabor Academy in Marion, MA... with me. It was originally the Tabor Academy 'Slip-Band' back in the early '90's. One of the original members before being a trio, was Sally (Sarah) Taylor, Carly Simon and James Taylor's kid....

Cool so you Google'd Jiggle the Handle... had to say that.

:D

Yeah they have done a mix between the two groups called "Jiggle the Creek" a while back for a few gigs.

Oh and here is a pic to bring this back full circle to GWAR:
