I Think I'm In Love

I played a brand new Ric 4003 today at Atlanta Discount Music. I have always loved Rics, but after finally getting to play one for the first time in two years (They are ridiculously scarce in my area. :rollno:), I am even more obsessed. It was everything I had dreamed it would be. The punch, the grit, the pure agressiveness of the tone. And it was perfect in my hands. It felt just right. It's like torture. I have a measly 400 of a neccassary 2K to get it. But, if all goes well, within a year or so of saving every dime I get, and doing odd jobs.....hopefully.
:help:

2k? You can buy one for $1,500 if you look around enough.

keep working hard, its the surest way to get the money you are looking for, short cuts rarely work and most of the time you end up losing what you started with. Go talk with your neigbors and see if there is odd jobs you can do, make up a flyer and hand it out, you might night get an emediate response but you'll get some calls.

Todd :)

Keep saving, we've all been there.
I was playing for 7 years, and lusting after a Rick bass for amost that long before I got my first in 1986.

There is no easy solution, but you'll get there eventually and it is worth the wait (as you already know).
Good luck!
;)

I had a rick on layaway a long time ago. The guy at the store cut me a deal and cut the price by 400$. Alas I needed to put my money towards other things, I took the rick off layaway and used the money I already had down to by a new guitar. I can't look at the guitar without thinking about the rick.. Woe is me.
