I'm curious to know how things are going for OP?
Just thought I'd add to the chorus that you can do quite a lot without having to spend much to get on youtube. But it does take a bit how to figure out how to get it all working together. Musicians might know about audio. But combining audio and video "properly" can be a challenge.
I did a video for a song I wrote that I entered in a songwriter's competition. I basically just filmed myself recording the song. I took shots of myself tracking, and moved the camera to different parts in the room for different track takes. I then edited the clips video together into a video, and imported the final version of the song as the audio. I sang, but I didn't do any narrating or voiceover. I figure the process would not be much different for me if I were to make a let's play video for bass or whatever, but live speaking would be a little tougher to do without proper syncing. It's not great by any means. But it served its purpose, and IMO was a step above filming myself and a geetar with nothing but my phone or web camera.

- Reaper for audio, w/old free plug-in version of AD for drum sounds
- 2 cheapy condenser mics - large diaphragm for vocals and shotgun for acoustic guitar
- pbass with BDI2, into the Solo.
EDIT: - oops forgot tele into fender mustang amp via USB
- Ipad for video - moved it around to different positions for different track takes.
- Windows Movie Maker - free and dead simple, but of course does not have time sync.
I say "matched" and not "synced" because I didn't actually sync the audio and video as you would in traditional A/V production with SMPTE. I just drag and dropped the video clips in position as close as I could using my ear and eyes. Certainly not pro-level, but I didn't spend anything on video editing software, either. The final is on my youtube channel in my sig.
