I want a Pedulla

Please understand you need to jones for 2 things before the Pedulla is in hand.

They are:
1. money, a lot of it. Jonesing for money can force you to save it up/acquire it as required.
2. Now jones for the Pedulla and lo and behold, you have the $ to go get it.

Without following the above, your jonesing will be a self-destructive obsessing which can/could lead to depression, compulsion disorder, strange and deviant behavior and ultimately suicide. Please believe me. You WILL believe me.......

Don't say you have not been warned.

I agree. I had a Rapture 5 purchased NEW many yrs ago when they were 1st introduced. After a bit of ownership I decided it was just meh.. And, it had a stripped truss rod nut. I called Pedulla and they were very unempathetic. They blamed me but I had never adjusted it! I removed the truss cover at the headstock to find the nut chewed up. Most likely, the dealer made a "butcher" adjustment using the wrong tool as the provided tool was still in the sealed plastic pack. But, I had hoped Pedulla might do something for me as a new customer who got hosed. Nothing. No help, no call to the dealer, no offer to try and fix it. By contrast, they tried to sell me a new neck!! $400(a lot of money at that time) without even seeing the problem. Damn, I'm pissed all over again!!
I'll never purchase a Pedulla, NEVER!! Ya hear that, Mike??

I saw your post on the Hexabuzz thread on Basschat. Sounds like your hands will be full for a while even without the Hexabuzz!

OP, just get a Pedulla! They really are absolutely incredible. I first played a Pedulla when I was about 18, when a bassist at the hotel I worked at turned up for a gig with one. He kindly let me have a go on it and I was hooked! Ten years later, whilst despondently shopping for a Zone Legacy Elite, I chanced across a 1994 Pentabuzz for sale and snapped it up. It's glorious and I'll never sell it (been there and regretted it). I want to enjoy this wonderful instrument forever!

I could throw superlative after superlative at it but the truth is it is stunning in every respect. A short and accurate summary. Oh, it also has the best low B I've ever heard (drawing joint first with my old Status Stealth I 6 string). I will be buying an MVP when the right one turns up and the cash is there.

Dude, the honeymoon stage doesn't end! I've had mine for just under a year and I'm amazed every time I plug it in.

I've read on here other people who had issues with the company. So strange. They have been nothing but supportive and enthusiastic with me about my purchase and the MANY emails back and forth throughout the ordering process and continuing questions over this last year. I do feel bad about your experience.

I love mine, but those blue Pedullas are special.

I had a 4 string thunderbolt. Absolutely love the way it played. Couldn't get past the sound. Hated the bart pickups and preamp. Swapped the pickups for some nordstrands and got closer to what I wanted, but eventually admitted it just wasn't meant to be and sold the bass. I've had a lot of similar experiences since, played a few and they felt good to great, but just totally underwhelmed by the sound.

I'm truly happy that you've had a good experience. I think it should be a given considering the price point and status as a boutique instrument.

Yes, that's also me. It'll take some time. I am hoping that bass sticks around Basschat until I am able to afford it. I think that Basschat item is the first unlined Hexabuzz I've seen.

I was somewhat heart-broken when a Hexabuzz located in Japan had sold. I had bookmarked that link and looked at it several times daily.

His trussrods turn the opposite of others and the instructions are clear in his little owners manual. Bummer buying a broke bass. That sucks.
