I have a Guitar Wing, which is a lot of fun. This seems like it has more buttons but maybe is not as flexible programming wise? Plus I'm a little hesitant to attach something to a guitar/bass like that.

I'm not exactly coordinated enough to get convincing wubs with a hot hand... Would love for this or guitarwing to be able to deal with luddites and interface directly with existing outboard gear that's midi capable.

2006? That Windows song was post-2010 I think, and the Key & Peele sketch was even later than that.

The original scene was over by 2006 I think. Then it got popular with brostep, remixes of everything, parkour videos, dubstep Santa, etc. TB effects got wind of it in 2011 and got obsessed with wubs (myself included). Went to DEMF 2012 and Zed's Dead was a venerable old band, only dubstep group there, mostly attended by college bros.
