I saw on the Andertons website they have some NAMM Show new products from Ibanez. Nothing earth shattering but it looks like they are going to revamp the electronics in the lower SR range with new pups and coil tapping capability. Maybe a SR305 will be my first 5 string if these upgrades are well executed. There is a shortscale Talman bass too. The other stuff just looks like cosmetic changes.

I apologize in advance for starting an Ibanez thread.

afbv200a-tcl_-_body.jpg afbv200a-tcl_-front.jpg I am really liking the short scale hollowbody. That looks beautiful. Gas usually passes easy for me but I don't think it will this time.

If that catalog is correct, it looks like the Talman TMB-300 is discontinued. A shame. I prefer the P/J setup of the 100 to the P/doubleJ setup of the 300, but the matching headstock and block necks of the 300 were really striking. At least they're still "growing" the line with a short scale version in the TMB30.

The 300s still may be available in the U.S. I've noticed that they offer things in Europe that they don't here(U.S.) and vice versa. They usually offer more here but they still have the SRX over there but not here. I bet that the TMB300 will still be available and it wouldn't surprise me if we had a few color choices for the short scale.

You know, to be honest I have to say it's a bit of a shame that Ibanez didn't do so much new stuff to the basses. Guitars always get a lot of new things, but the basses not so much. The only ''big'' difference this year is the singlecut SR. The BTB 1606 only got some blue added on top of it. Not really spectacular.

That is a shame, they're on my list, too, hmmm....
