Ibanez 2016

You mean the SR series? BTB didn't had a 800 series.

I was thinking of the BTB-775, with the poplar burl top and Bartolini pickups. I guess my brain rounded the number up to 800...

Anyway, that one is going away now, too, so the only BTB that has any kind of color to it is the 1600 series... which costs almost as much as its model number!

They stopped selling them here a few years ago. I've had 4 different SRXs, an SRX300, SRX400, SRX690, and an SRX700(which I still have). The necks are awesome! IMHO

Agreed on the SRX necks. I have the 400 and it's one of the most comfortable necks I've played. The typical Ibanez/SR necks are just to thin for me, and with the rounder profile it's a pleasure to play.

It would be nice to see something different this year. A take on the SRX, SRP, VW1 would be cool as well. Better yet I would love to see a re-issue of the old musicman style.

Anybody notice this page?

Clearly a 5 string Talman headstock at the top, as well as an upscale talman with an ash body and what looks like a big single. Hoping these arent just one offs.

There are some higher-resolution images posted by Bass Player. Ibanez also showed what looks like a Premium SR 4-string with a dark body and a light top. Does anybody have any information on that model?

I'm really interested in the SRSC805, but I'm not sure about the 18-mm string spacing. They BTB single-cut has a 19-mm spacing, so it seems like using the 16.5-mm spacing from the other SR 5-strings would have made sense.

Here's the better pic of the 2 possible new TMB's. I didn't see any 5 stringers unfortunately.

Me too. I actually prefer 18mm string spacing. It what my SRX705 has just wish it was a little wider at the nut. So the SRSC will depend on the spacing at the nut for me. The scale length should be fine too. Love they have premium everything but went with the MK1 Barts. Not terrible pickups but don't seem to match the quality of the bass.

so any wonder if the humbucking means coils in parallel, single means single coils, but what is extra low end single coild? can't be series now can it be? or maybe two single coils from each pickup get wired in series on that mode?

A 3-way power tap system on the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ creates 3 tonal options; Humbucking, Single coil, and Low-end enhanced single coil
