Ibanez ATK 705 or 1305

Seems like these basses only exist in rare, unearthed corners of the world. VERY curious about them; would like to play/own one someday. Doing a general google search, using Search Tempest, and even the Ibanez forums turned up nothing other than a few grainy pictures and no info about them otherwise.

So if you were me, but knew what you knew, where would you look next?

WHERE I CAN GET ONE. That'd do for starters. And 305's don't count - I know I can order one of those easily enough.

You either get the ATK300, the ATK305, or order from europe and get the ATK310.
They don't make either of them (705, 1305) anymore sorry.
Look I got a ATK305 get that you'll like it.
But, you won't get those ATK's your talking about without looking for them HARD and OFTEN. You just answered yourself in your post they are rare good luck finding one because I'm pretty sure it'll take alot of it or a stupid accident that we all call miracles.

Truth be told I wish my ATK305 had a rosewood fretboard but, you know what I'm so happy I have one I don't really think about it much anymore. So just go play an ATK and you'll either buy it or not.

Yep, I'm serious. But you're the first person who's been able to tell me that they're discontinued, and not just "only available overseas". That much is indeed helpful.

Might just have to do a few searches for an ATK 315. Heck, I could find someone to rout the body out for a neck pickup too... just have to figure out how to wire all that together - what a mess that has to be!

Your just shooting for a dual pickup ATK that's a 5 string just get a 305 and get a pickup installed in it. It's the only way you'll find a two pickup ATK 5 string ANYWHERE.

Forget it... The problem you have still exists the ATK305 is proabaly your CHEAPEST bet.
Face it it's either that mod idea or nothing dude.

I honestly don't think the ATK305 is that bad for a midpriced instrument actually it beats out all the Fenders I ever touched that's for dang sure. Anyways good luck.

I just bought a 1999 Ibanez ATK1300 on eBay. It was posted for $999 and I hit the "Buy It Now" button immediately! I knew what I wanted and was getting! The Seller was located in Tokyo, Japan. I paid $120 shipping to get it to Pensacola, FL. Incredible bass! I would love to also have the next year's 5 string model 2000 ATK1305. These are the only Prestige models of ATK basses that I am aware of. I have played Ibanez solely since 1992. My point here, is if you see one of these basses, JUMP ON IT!

if yo're thinking about the 305, check out the next one up (the atk 800) first.

you get a lot more for your money there.
