Ibanez bass hiss sound at string contact

I bought an Ibanez sr 505 bass brand new a few months ago. Thing sounded great until the other day. Now there is this underlying hiss sound when you make contact with strings. When your hand is over the strings it is quiet. It is driven by the treble pot and you can hear a difference in the hiss when you turn the pot on passive or active setting. Could it be as simple as a pot cleaner or bigger issues? Thanks!

No expert here but i too have a 505, albeit an older MIK model. Mine will do the same if i dime the EQ treble and have the amp treble up high, don't do that very often any more.
