Ibanez bass strings are they any good?

Ibanez bass strings are they any good?
In a word, no. They are Asian source. Now, if you have a bass where the OEM are D'Addarios, as they are on many Ibanez basses, well, yes, of course, these are good. But the Ibby brand are not.

Any conventional set of bass strings from a reputable manufacturer will sound better than Ibby Asian strings.

Ok canceled my Ibanez coated strings order and ordered my trusty D'Addario set again. Think my Ibanez 6 string came with Elixer strings two years or more ago so time to change the strings. I thought the Ibanez coated strings where somewhat the same but cheaper...

What's OEM by the way?

Original Equipment Manufacturer. In otherwords, what the factory uses.
