Not on the BTB Volos like the 33, 845v and 846v (which I own). Still feels noticeably different to a similar SR.

I also think E to F is how the BTB846V is supposed to be tuned, not B to C like the tuning it came with.

I came across an Ibanez BTB in good to excellent shape for $325. Seems kind of low?
I have a few Ibanez basses and enjoy playing them. I am also a sucker for wood grain table top basses.

Here is my 1205e. Bought this 2 years ago still love it. It came with the Aggy DCB's and OPB3. She's heavy but I love her anyway lol
B-Mac, I'm no expert on used Ibanez prices, but I'd say what you paid was a little low.
Then again, as good basses that they are, I don't think BTBs command what they're worth on the used market.

Isn't it a BTB400xx? If so the price is right. I've bought my BTB400QM for $280 a year and a half ago. It was in worse shape than yours though.
Have any of you filed down the upper bout that your forearm rests against? I have several other bass that are all rounded and is way more comfortable. I love everything about my 757, but that edge. I've used wrist bands to ward off the edge but don't always remember to keep it in the case. If you've done this, guide me through making this alteration. thanks in advance!
Yes. I had my btb 1306e and 1406e basses cut, sanded and stained to create forearm cuts. The edges are intolerable under the forearm if you work with these basses. I had literal bruising the morning after my gigs. Otherwise, they are the best basses out there. I even contacted Ibanez about this.
Nope because I consider it's poor technique to have to rest your forearm on the body. Mine's a 6 so I use floating thumb technique.
I'd never do it to my 846v because it would make it ugly.
I can actually help with this. Left to right below are:
2017 BTB1905e (new body style)
1989 AVRI P bass
2001 BTB1005e (original body style)
Yes they are bigger, but not uncomfortably so for me (5’8”). Personally I prefer the look of the curvier original BTB style but the new design is definitely a bit less “beefy”.

Cool, thanks for the comparison! Side by side it really doesn't look much bigger... especially the newer model.
I think that’s a pretty accurate observation. The curves are just a bit more exaggerated from your normal p and j shape. So the side parts are a little differ, and your narrow parts are a little narrow.
The upper horn is actually a less exaggerated curve on the new body shape, but it’s thinner so it doesn’t jump out. Overall mass is probably pretty close to the normal p bass shape. Just distributed differently.
Mine BTB775pb fits perfectly in my 2016 Fender TSA approved case. Just like that case was designed for that bass
