Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

Just watch the thin quilted maple top... I'm not sure it will survive the process very well... but someone who's done this please chime in...

I had a btb 405 qm and got the strong feeling that the "qm" was actually an artificial non wood laminate, not a real quilted maple laminate.

What's the reason that you start with a 5 string bass guitar? :) It's a beautiful bass you've got :D

It's always hard to make the decision :) May I ask you, how often do you use the entire rang? So from the low B string all the way to the high C string?

If you play mostly the lowest stuff.. well then you've got your answer :p

Well that's just it... I'm a showy player when I'm doing my own thing and while it's my first six I'm all over the thing when I pick it up. I'm a guitarist too etc.

My thing is that I was down sizing because I have too many instruments... and it's simply not as comfy or amazing sounding as my carvin 5 or ebmm 5s.

But it's my only 6, my only beautiful furniture bass, a really really good instrument.... so ya know the problem lol

BTB club?! Hell yea I'm in. My 570fm was the first bass I ever bought new. I played with nearly 50 other makes and models before settling on her. The body, the electronics, the hardware, neck through... It adds up to what I KNEW would be the style of bass I would stay with.

I'm thrilled to say I've used it as my main gigging bass for 4 years now and it STILL looks and plays wonderfully. Hundreds of hours played and the frets are only starting to show a tiny bit of wear. What a great piece of gear and the one axe ill never sell

It was a toss-up between a 775pb and the 675zw that were in the store at the time. The 675 won out due to a (much) straighter neck and the satin finish.

The zebra wood sure is sexy, even if my shredder buddy tells me it looks like a nice tabletop. This from a guy who just bought a $2500 John Petrucci that is painted plain gloss white!

Hey fellow BTBers, does anyone know of a BTB575 brown burst available for purchase anywhere? Or would anyone be willing to sell theirs?

This is one BTB that I must have. It's available new on Sweetwater for $750, but that seems a little high for a line that has been discontinued.
