Ibanez BTB675 help

Hello,

I am new to this forum. Over the weekend I purchased a used Ibanez BTB675 bass from Guitar Center, the sucky part is that there is a 30 day hold on it.

I am currently looking for a hard shell case. I am talking with SKB cases but they need the measurements of the bass. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome.

Attached is what they are asking for.

I have a Gator case for my BTB. It's a great fit. I think that they are reasonably priced as well however I'm not sure about this as the case came with the bass. My Gator case is actually quite similar to the case that came with my Peavey Cirrus except that the interior is not custom molded to the bass. Looks like they could have been produced at the same factory.

I don't have the measurements, and this may sound strange...But, I was in need of a case for my BTB and on a whim tried it in my new Fender (SKB) P-5 case. It fits PERFECTLY. I cannot imagine two basses that are more different in sound, shape and appearance. But it fits like a glove. :eyebrow:

Andy_D -What Gator case do you have? Is there a model or something that stands out on the case?

DuShauh - No joke on the two basses being different and what a trip on how well it fit... I'll have to look into it.

Tercesyrev - I would, but I usually transport my bass in the trailer with all our other equipment and that fake leather on the outside of the Ibanez case would never hold up.

No Model on the Gator Case itself but it looks like this one

Here are the measurements

Bottom width 13.5"
Width between Horns 12"
Upper Horn to bottom 20"
Overall Length 45"
Top of strings to Body thickness 1-7/8"

Body of Bass case area is rectangular at 20" x 13.5 so it's a pretty tight fit.

Also looks like $139 for a real Ibanez Tolex covered Case at Sam Ash, Zzounds, etc...
