Thanks, that eq on/off, is that like active on/off? If so, that would be a great feature when batteries die!one switches the eq on/off the other is the mid point selector 400/800hz or something like that

I sold my 1805 a few months ago and still to this day had it had the best B string of any I've owned and thats including a few 35' basses. If I had it to do all over again I would have never gotten rid of it.
im not shure about that one I think I red that you still need battery power even with it switched off..Thanks, that eq on/off, is that like active on/off? If so, that would be a great feature when batteries die!
Sounds about right... If I recall...Thanks, that eq on/off, is that like active on/off? If so, that would be a great feature when batteries die!
That could be true.. don't recall ever letting the batteries die and testing that theory out...im not shure about that one I think I red that you still need battery power even with it switched off..
I use it as an alternate tone option, mostly as a kind of "slap switch", I set up my finger style sound on the amp then switch on the eq for a little mid cut and bass boost for slapping
I think they recently came out with a 32" scale btbDoes Ibanez make a 30" or 32" scale bass? I know they have the Mikro, but it's a little too short for my taste.
I have an SR 500 with Labella deep talkin flats and am fairly happy with it. However, I am always seeking a better tone so I got the SR 650 4 days ago and also put Labella deep talkin flats.
Comfort wise they are the same bass, very light and low action with no fret buzz.
Tone wise the SR 500 is definitely deeper than the 650 but some of that is due to the new strings on the 650 - apparently Flats can be bright for a few weeks and then mellow out.
The 650 is more punchy then the 500 and that part I really love. My bandmates in the blues band all agree that the 500 is deeper but the 650 is punchier. I am hoping over the next few weeks the 650 becomes as deep as the 500 as the strings get broken in, - if so I will be keeping it, otherwise it goes back to the shop because I don't really like brighter sounding basses and for my role in the blues band we really need alot of that low end tone.
But for comfort and playability it is very hard to match Ibanez basses.

That looks to be true per musicians friend. They look nice, too.And I believe all their Artcore hollow and semi-hollow bodies are 30 inch scale.

Yes. And with LaBella flats, it's fantastic to play. I have the 205.And I believe all their Artcore hollow and semi-hollow bodies are 30 inch scale.
