By the way, does anyone here have a Velve Tune BII for sale? My D string tuner is bent and of course the bass is a lefty, so I guess that would be a bass side tuner for the rest of you. I did find one for sale elsewhere but I wanted to check here too. This tuner is still functional for now so it’s not a huge deal yet. Let me know!

Another dumb question-

Does anyone know of good non-original cases that would be a snug fit for this MC-924? I’m certainly not holding out hope for an original one.
And keep in mind again, mine is left handed.

Not a dumb question at all.

Not very snug but I believe these fit easily in a Yamaha BB series case. I’m going by slightly hazy memory, though.

If you're not wanting original but perfect fit, check out a Pelican case. You can cut the foam to fit your guitar.

By the way, are you aware of any issues with the foam in those cases messing with the finish?

I am not sure but I doubt it. I purchased my Steinberger from a newly retired musician. I believe Pelican cases were his choice for keeping his basses safe on the road.

You can always cut the foam to fit and then cover it with velvet or velour fabric if you’re concerned.

Are there any pickups that are a direct replacement for the MC 924? I’m not in the market for any, just curious. I haven’t seen anything yet, thought I would start here for possible info.

AphekGreg might be able to make you one, but of course I cannot speak for him.

There is info on both somewhere in this thread. You may have quite a bit of reading to do.

But why do left haded basses and guitars exist? I've never seen a left handed piano.....

Actually, I'm left-handed myself, but when I started playing bass, the only available instrument was my brother's bass. So I started on a "normal" bass and never looked back. And I am not able to play anything left-handed....

Mmm. Not getting notifications again. I make the pickups as needed, but yes can definitely make some if you decide you want less noise. They sound almost exactly the same as the originals. Just cancel out the hum.
