Ibanez N427 5 String Bass

Does anyone have any info on this bass? The neck looks awful wide. Is it? I can't seem to find anything on the net.

The rectangle abalone inlays on the fretboard seem somewhat rare to me for an Ibanez SDGR. I'm curious about other info on this too.

I've been an Ibanez guy for many years, and never heard of it before; the body & controls kinda looks SRXish to me.

I'm going to look at a bass like this tomorrow. It's gently used. It is black in color and also has the 2 pegs up/3 pegs down on the headstock. The current owner said he bought it new a few years ago. This one flies under the radar on the internet.

This would be a VERY nice score! I'd go for it just because it's a rarity, and be sure to post pics in the Ibby clubs as they will be curious.

"N427" is on the back of the headstock, yeah? I believe that's just a production run code of some kind, not the model number. That bass appears to be an SRX475.
