Ibanez Paul Gray PGB1 Basses

Shortly after I bought my first bass, a Silvertone P Bass package, I wanted to get a second bass to play with and loved the look of the PGB1s. My local shop didn't carry them, and I really didn't have the money for one anyway, so I picked up a Ibanez SRX 300 and tuned it to BEAD. I've since picked up a Squier VM 70's jazz that's also tuned BEAD and really don't need another bass (I have 9 total), but these always appealed to me. If I could find one in either color I'd be tempted to pick it up, but one in that wine red color would be something I couldn't pass up. Were these just made in extremely limited quantities or does no one really want them? Either way, they seem like a very rare find. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I’ve been wanting to get a lefty PGB-1 for years but have never seen one for sale. Probably the only lefty ATK or sig bass I’ve ever seen.

There aren’t many out there because it was only made for maybe 2 years as he died shortly after its release iirc.

I also have a VM Jazz. How does it sound in BEAD? What pickups are in yours? Mine has the Duncan Designed but they were replaced in mid-‘13 by the Fender Designed pups when they also changed the neck finish to glossy as well.

There are two in Japan for sale. I want one because Iam a super fan of his. He is one of the reason's I wanted to learn. Someone said he wasn't famous enough. I would beg to differ 15 various awards. I am a big fan not only of Slipknot but of Paul. I have been on the hunt for either the Signature or tribute models. Ive recently found two signature series in Japan for sale. Which I wish I had the money for one. One is $1079.00 other is $1088.00. With the import tax and duty, they are outside my price range at the current time. Both are brand new I have contacted both stores hoping one of them will pay to get it to me. I figure they must have been there a while and hopefully will want to make a deal.
