Ibanez Roadstar II '84

About a year ago i bought this fretless '84 roadstar bass from a classmate for about a hunderd bucks. Played it, liked it (great tones!), and put it away...only to pick it up again now. And guess what...i still like it and want to play it again. But there are a few things that i'd like to get done to it. The finish has gotten quite dull and scratchy, and there are some scratches and marks on the finish and the neck that i'd like to get rid off. The dents and scratches on the neck are feelable when playing.

Anyone got any ideas how to do that. I read up on some polishing methodes but does that also remove the somwhat deeper scratches? And does anyone have any idea on the price range of these? Thanks in advance!

Very bright reflection, it's not as shiny as it seems.

Sweet score for only 100 bucks. I recently picked up a 83' RB630 off Ebay for a fair price, and its a very cool bass.
Any of the scratches that are through the finish are gonna be impossible to remove without a refin, or at least a spot touch up (which is tough to blend new finish with the old on touch ups).
I'd polish the body up the best I could, and possibly refin the neck. A neck refin wouldn't be to big of a project, and You could even marine epoxy the fretboard while Your at it to get it extra smooth.
