I'm trying to ID a 5 string bass I've found in the back of a luthiers gathering dust in Trinidad, W.I. I think it's an Ibanez Soundgear Prestige, what what model year etc, I have no idea, hopefully you can help me out?
It appears to have two truss rods and individual saddles, the inlay at the top of the headstock says SDGR with the numbers 52443 beneath it. just above the neck is another inlay saying PRESTIGE, on the reverse it says Made in Japan. The tuners have made in Japan stamped on them.
It may be coming up for sale as the owner has ordered a replacement saddle and not paid for, and he hasn't been into the shop or called for over 6 months. So it may up for sale for the repair cost and few bucks extra; so I'd like to know what it is and is would it be worth repairing the saddle?
