Ibanez shred guitar

Shredding metalhead and bassist here... I started out on an Ibanez and still love them to death, especially RGs, but dudes... for 2k, I'd be picking up a 7 string LTD with Fishman Fluence pickups. Casually mention that to him and see what he says. I'd be surprised if he's into shredding, but isn't interested in getting into a seven. And those fluence pups are mind-bending... :D oooh, and while you're at it... Evertune bridge. drool Although you do get some string noise like a floyd rose, even though it's hardtail...

Evertune and FR string Noise?? Are you sure that's not the springs rattling around??? I have 4 guitars with Evertune and a FR guitar. I have never had that problem. I cut some strips of foam to fit in the springs. People also use toilet paper and pad the cavity as well.

Yes, its twitching of strings due to the spring setup. I don't personally find it a problem, but some folks are sensitive to such things, so it can be worth mentioning when someone's selecting for purchase. I've had one person upset with the guitar I built them with an evertune due to "all the noise". I took it apart and slipped foam under the springs like you mention.
