I thought this was already a thing, but I guess not.

Calling all Ibanez SR bass owners - post yours!

This could include SRX as well, I suppose.

Here are mine:

A modified SR600

I replaced the MK1's with Nordstrand Dual Blade pickups and installed a parallel/single coil switch. I'll have to post a current picture tomorrow.

A modified SR480

I replaced the stock pickups with Dimarzio Model P/J's, and replaced the stock preamp with an SBK Tone Monster preamp.

Okay, all you Ibby Soundgear owners/fans, please help me out on this:

GC has this for sale and says that it is an SR900. The serial number on the back of the headstock says that it was made in Japan in 98 (F98...). BUT I can't find any SR900s in Ibby's catalogs for '97-'99. I DO find SR800 but these ALL have slab body styles, not the more rounded body style that this one has. No model number on the back of the headstock. So does anyone have any clue as to what it might be?

BTW, here is a shot of the back which shows that, unlike the SR800 from 1998, this one has a separate battery compartment and no scooping. It does, however, have a painted neck. This model has me stumped. I think I want to get it because 1) it's made in Japan (tuners say so also) and seems to have higher mid-line components on it (AFR pickups, Accucast BIV bridge, neck scoop to the body), but I just can't ID it.

Ok, I'll play!

Found this SR 300 DX while at a guitar shop to see a bass I was excited about. Hated that bass but this Ibanez really caught my eye. Body shape is kinda like my Alembic and feel is kinda like my old precision. A lot to like about these SR basses.

A couple of weeks later wandered into that same shop and this SR 805 AM flirted with me. I could not say no :)

Edit: Just saw all the SR's are on the Soundgear thread!

I have the Ibanez SR750 (pictured). I want to replace the plastic knobs with brass ones. The larger knob are pretty standard, However, the smaller ones, not so much. Can someone help me with the measurement, model or name of what I should be looking to order? Since it will be mail order, I pretty much have know exactly what to order. I am open as far as domed or flat.

Thanks
