Ibanez SR series Revamped?

The SRP400? That was my first bass! I still have it and use it.

They have poplar burl, flame & quilted maple tops on the SR 400 series - sadly, these are not available worldwide, so depending on your location, you might be in luck, or not.

There were also some US only higher models (SR500 & 650) with poplar burl tops and a see thru coloured finish (I think those were GC exclusives).

The guys at Ibanez sure know how to make a gorgeous looking instrument, but I hate their policy of limiting the access to their instruments...if you're not from US, you're screwed.

I'm glad that they're doing away with the phat eq thing. It was nearly impossible to find a clear center for those things.

Japanese companies are ALL about efficiency. They're obsessed with it.

One of the reasons Ibanez offer so few color choices on their instruments is because it's cheaper/more efficient.
