I've been thinking of getting this bass for a while.. I just wanted to see what fellow TBers think since I know it's a popular bass and many people on here have one

I had a few questions that reviews and specs havn't answered:

- what's the weight?
- is there any neckdive? How much?
- how would you describe the tone?

soundclips are also appreciated

thanks guys

I had one and a SR406 both are neck heavy but not to bad, Workable I guess you could say.

Weight on both of mine were fine not heavy at all.

Sound I think there a tad on the bright modern high end sizzle kinda tone but thats adjustable and subjective.

When I took the preamp out of my SR406 it became a totally different bass, and I wish I never let that one go.

weight? look it up on ibanez.com. its not heavy, but its no 4stringer

theres a tad bit of neckdive, not too much.

the tone? you can deff find sound clips on the board somwhere.

its pretty versatile, good mids. the pots are scratchy though, that seems to be common on all the ones ive encountered

If you balance it on your leg and let go, does it fall?

that's what I really wanted to know

I don't find neck weight that much of an issue when standing

Ibanez.com didn't have the weight, nor did any of the reviews I've read..

can anyone tell me the weight, or at least ballpark it?

It's good that it weighs less than your P.. I've always found Fenders a little too heavy for my liking.
