Ibanez SR700 Charcoal Brown - Question about the color

In my endless GAS for a new bass i came across the Ibanez SR700; i like the yellow (amber) color, but i'm interested in the other color: charcoal brown.

I saw different pics of the bass in that color, but in some photos it looks red, and in other it looks brown:

So, what's the real color? is it more red-orange or more brown?

It's a brownish-red. here's my Charcoal Natural Flat SR905. I say it's red.

The colour actually may differ from one bass to another: some are quite red, while others brownish.

The ones in my store were very brown. I went with amber to stand out. The brown was very tasteful like you would want if you were trying to not stand out in any way. (Corporate gig in suit and tie).

You'll have to see it in person, those kind of colors are not for everyone. (the ones that look different on every picture).
By the way, I think the Amber beats the hell out of the charcoal brown. Sexy.

I too prefer the amber; red would look cool, but that brownish tint...I've had enough of it I wish they'd change it on the SR500 as well...it got really old.

I like the charcoal, In person my 905 looks blood red. I'm ok with the Amber, my RG is amber honey, it's not bad.

I liked the brown SR500. But I got a good deal on the amber SR700 that was to good to pass up.

Oh, i almost forgot to ask: how much does it weight?
I'm looking for a light bass because of back problem, and i read that the SR series is very lightweight, is it true also for the SR700?

I don't know the exact weight, but it's not heavy at all. It's actually rather light.
