Tough call, they're both good. I'm going to go with probably the best answer one can give and say, you've got to try both and see which one works best for you.

As a disclaimer, I haven't played either of those models. However, I have played a Schecter Stiletto Elite and an SR500. My personal preference would be with Schecter. The neck-through on the Schecter is also nice, but I agree with Maxdusty that the feel and sound of the bass is subjective. I know it isn't always easy finding the exact models you want in local stores, but I think with Schecter and Ibanez you should at least be able to find models within a similar price range that can give you a pretty good idea.
