Just wondering if anyone on here has an Ibanez SRX550 or has played one. Any thoughts, opinion, comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Ibanez SRX550...anyone?

i own an older version of this bass
it was made in the early 90s and i love it
i got it for about 300 used at a music shop, and the shop owner said it was the nicest ibanez he had ever had in his store
so my experience may be unusual, but i am pretty sure i will never find a better 5-string, and thats after playing some warwicks and fenders that were ten times the price

Well I guess I'll find out. I have one on the way. It's in the silver arctic frost finish...kinda wild looking. Paid $275 for it, delivered. I guess I did all right. I'll know when I get it. I'll post some pictures when I have it. Thanks.
I used to own one. It was a great bass! The PFR pickups are way more ballsy than the more common soap bars on Ibanez basses. This bass is very comfortable, as are all Ibanez basses. You really can't go wrong if you decide to buy it.
I got the SRX550 in and I put the D'Addario Chrome flats on it. We had practice last Saturday so I thought I'd try it out. Overall I really like the bass. The only complaint I have is the edge of the neck is the same color as the body and the frets on the side of the neck are marked with black dots. The black blends in with the color on the neck making it hard to see the markers. I went to an office supplies shop and found some little round 1/4" stickers that I used to mark the frets. I can see them when playing, otherwise pretty much unnoticeable. I have a picture here but it's not very good. I had some bad lighting when taking it.
