Ibanez WH10 wah - anybody?

I just saw that Ibanez reissue WH10 wah has got guitar/bass mode switch.

Has anybody tried it on bass aleady?

I tried it quickly at Guitar Center a while ago. I only played it through an Acoustic B20 combo (because I have one at home and know what it sounds like) and used on of thier off the shelf basses (which always kills me), so it was not a definitive 'review', but I found it to be pretty lifeless and shallow on bass. I really wanted to like it, but it did NOTHING for me. I think Wah's are possibly the MOST subjective effect there is, so my experience probably means almost nothing to anyone else...

I have an original WH10 wah. I haven't used it with bass in a LONG time, but i don't recall it being so wonderful. Then again, I haven't tried many wah pedals with my bass. I sometimes use an auto-wah on bass though.

the wh10 is great for guitar. Not my thing for bass however.

I will say that is one ugly pedal.

It's tiny, and the one I used at GC had a faulty pad-that-presses-the-switch. I do admire its size - as a man who owns the equally-miniscule DOD FX-17, I have come to appreciate the portability - but it's really hard to find. Aluminum chassis; that's good. I'm glad to see they've gone away from the plastic, which caused John Frusciante to buy all of them back during the "By The Way" era. It sounded fine on bass, but it did shine on guitar, and it has a short physical travel - even shorter than a standard wah. I considered getting one, but my Morley Power Wah Good Lord This Is The Most Unwieldy Pedal Ever Boost does my work, and then some. If I do go WH10 mad, I'll go Wilson - it's more robust, and it's built by a guy in Indiana, as opposed to some soulless machine in the People's Republic. Plus, from what I've read, he accepts, and listens to, your feedback, whereas I've tried emailing Ibanez with a complaint, and they still haven't responded. That was seven years ago. I had hopes and dreams. And I was thinner. And had a respectable fro, for a white guy. I want my damn life back.
