I picked one up when they were priced at 160. It seems like they're trying to blow out some older color options that aren't available anymore.
I like the bass. It was absolutely worth it. It feels like a Mexican Standard Fender in terms of quality (seriously, they use good parts), but comes in at bargain bin prices. The fret and finish work were more than adequate and the set up was great.
At that dirt cheap price, I may buy one. It feels at least as good as the current Squiers.
Maybe equivalent to the top of the VM line though. I've played a few Squier VM Jazz basses I was very impressed with.
I'm seriously considering it. I've liked the ones I've played.
I'm not really a four string guy, but a well made four string is nice to have around.
It actually replaced my Squier VM Jag in terms of my everyday beater kind of bass. I really liked the VM Jag but the Talman just sounded and played better. It was also just as loud and powerful as the Sterling Sub Rays which I also had, but with the greater tonal abilities of a good P/J bass. Even at the original price, it was already a heck of a deal for the bass, now with the discount, it's pretty hard to pass up.
There is a five string Talman bass too, just not on sale. The TMB105

They both look great. Truly. But that soda blue that the Doc grabbed is just... It's just beautiful.
I think he got the mint green one. The soda blue is darker, Antisyzygy posted a picture of his above.
I believe just the lake placid blue and olympic white one. Those aren't the actual color names, but closest reference I can think of.
That is unless they just started blowing out more of them. When I bought my TMB-100 at GC it was 159.99 and only those two colors were on sale.
EDIT : Just saw someone else answered first. I can confirm, at least.
