Hey all,

So, I'm playing around with the design of a multi-coil pickup design, similar to a Wal bass pickup. I'd like to wire it up such that there's an output for each pair coils under each string.

I am not too knowledgeable about buffer or mixer circuits, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any small signal mixers/buffers that could be used to combine the outputs of each pair of coils..?

The LT1353 contains four op amps and is suitable for battery operation. There are also single amp and dual amp versions, LT1351, LT1352.

These are op amps though, not complete buffers (or mixers). They require external components to complete the actual function required.

Did some research, and found this: Invalid Link Removed

Looks like that may do the trick. However, I'm unsure if I should use the "MIC-#" or "LINE-#" inputs for this application.

Also seems that two of these could be used to handle a 5- or 6-string pickup, too, by just using 1 or 2 of the inputs on the second.
