Identify this Aria bass: 1930 or 1420B (or other)?

I am hoping someone here can help me identify my bass, its an Aria fretless semi hollowbody bass with a Hofner style violin body and a violin style scroll head.

The only markings are "Aria" in script on the pick guard. I think its a model 1930 or 1420B - but both could be wrong; there is very little web based info on Aria basses from the late 60's, early 70's era.

My history with it is I bought it at a tag sale for $25 in the late 70's. All original except I replaced the failing brass input jack with another brass input jack and I replaced the degraded foam mute with a newer one.

If anyone has info on the specifics of my model bass, I would appreciate hearing about it. Here are some photos:

It doesn't show a 1930 here but it gives the specs, & has photos of its siblings. The difference between it & the 1931 is the same difference as EB0 & EB3; as you may know the EB0 doesn't have the bridge pup.

If you do a Google image search for Aria 1420 a few come up.

And yes yours is a gorgeous instrument. $25--can't beat that. I hope you hang on to it. If not, sell it to me! I'm a big fan of Matsumoku instruments.

Perhaps Aria recycled the designations after phasing out the violin-styled models?

Nice, thank you - now I can update my sig file and I'll make a note to put in the bass case so I'll remember what it is. The thing I also like if of all the examples I've seen images of, my bass seems in really good condition comparitively!

Happy to know I have the original case, thought it was an aftermarket thing.

Mine is labeled pan, and may have had frets at some point, though is a fret-less, I was told someone did it on their own but this leads me to believe it may have come that way. I see no evidence of a home job.

Pretty much exactly the same, it sounds fantastic, I'm missing my metal diamond, comparable shape otherwise I would say.
