Good sleuthing! Thanks for all your input. The logo had me wondering as well, but I remember seeing that version a lot some years back. Found quite a few online photos that matched it as well.
Seller is open to offers, but will only do pickup on the other side of the country, so I suspect this is out of reach anyway.

Right now I'm much more eager to lay hands on my new Gibson Thunderbird Non-Reverse that's supposed to be delivered tomorrow! (Been waiting over two weeks for it - jumped on a Black Week deal late November, but UPS waited one week before picking it up in Germany, shipped it to Norway in less than 36 hours, but kept it in their warehouse for another week before releasing it yesterday.)
To the OP: that's a Gretsch 2202 (I've owned them) and it has one of the single best pickups ever made. It's a TV jones design that Gretsch had built for them. I have that pickup in my Squier Bronco and it absolutely MAKES the bass. I love the old 2202 models!
A fair price would be under $200, preferably about $150. If you can get it for that price, grab it and run like a bandit. For $500 it's not a good buy.
