Hi.
IMLE slim.
Most of the Japanese manufacturers were making more or less counterfeits, and therefore the asthetics were either spot-on or really close.
My repaired Heerby for example has fooled even professionals. The binding, pickups, construction and even the sound seems spot-on if there isn't any authentic ones to compare it with. Any expert will recognise it as a copy instantly if they take a closer look though.
The standard D-Bass PU configuration is P/J and IIRC, I have stumbled upon a pic of one that has the added slanted J in an extreme bridge location as well.
I won't deny that the pic-servers location influenced my guess, but I do have 2 Jolana instruments ATM and while neither is a D-Bass, my web searches about mine has sort of made me GASsing for a D-Bass
