Double Bass Identifying a mystery 70s bass

I'm looking at buying a bass in the PNW, and I stumbled across this one: Facebook
The owner doesn't seem to know much about it outside of that it was purchased in the 70s and there is no sticker on the f holes.
Any help with any sort of ID or idea of the construction/quality would be much appreciated.

My guess would be laminate wood.
Might need bridge work, but it's hard to tell.

Hat peg tuners suggest it's old 1920-40's, but only suggest, as these have been used on basses of any age, just not as common on newer basses.

Agreed, they don't look very neat. But if you like hatpegs, there you have 'em!

Hatpegs seem to have been used into the later 20th century, particularly on Czech instruments. Those ply basses tend to be heavy, built like tanks, and perfectly okay to learn on. The asking price is low enough that you could add in a new bridge and strings and still be getting a decent deal...
