IEM Setup - Rolls PM351 or Behringer MX400

So I've decided to go for an IEM setup as I think it will benefit both my playing and hearing in the long term. I've already decided on the DBX166XS as the compressor/limiter for the setup as it will also be used as a second stage compressor for my rig but I can't decide on the line mixer. I've been looking at the PM351 as it has a following here on Talkbass but I've also been looking at the MX400 as an inexpensive solution. I understand that the MX400 will only provide a mono signal and it has no XLR inputs but will that create major issues for me in the future?

I'm also trying to figure out how I would power each unit if they were to make it onto my board as I'm getting a power supply to limit mess. I would need an adaptor for the PM351 I'm assuming as I only have a 9V, 12V and 18V connection available with the supply. The Behringer unit states it requires 12V 150mA but the only output that puts out more then 150mA is one of the 9V inputs... if I plugged it into the 12V input would there be any catastrophic consequences or would it just not get enough power?

For me, the MX400 being able to provide a mono signal makes it a non starter. Once you get to use in ears, a stereo mix (where possible) makes a huge difference and having a headphone amp not capable of doing that would be too frustrating for me.

The MX400 has no parallel thru which is a pain with getting signal from your mic to the desk.

If you were considering a Beh'r product it would be the Micromon MA400. I have used this, but now have a PM351, and prefer this. the other option is a JTS PMM4. more expensive but look excellent!

Thanks for the input guys. I'm assuming I'll need to buy my own power adaptor for the pm351. I live in Australia and it seems no retailers stock it over here do i would have to order from states, or have I overlooked something?

Ryan, I'm in Australia also. I got my PM351 from ineargear.com. They sell on ebay also via freq city sound or something. I am using a 12v power supply from Jaycar. As per the pm351 specs - it is happy with anything from 9v - 15v.

Oh sweet, the fact that it can just use my 9V DC port makes it a must buy now. Thanks for your help guys! The thread should have been between the MA400 and the PM351 but I don't know how I wasn't aware of the MA400's existence.
