I'd take 8.5K and invest it, than in a year or so take the profit and buy a nice fender bass or something and still have the 8.5k to spend on hookers and blow ( I kid !!!)

Well, considering you're doing REALLY WELL to make 4% a year in this market in safe investments, you might get a Hondo bass, a back rub, and a whipit out of that plan.

My fav trick, get the new bass....bring inside when wife isnt around. Put it in my room with my other instruments. Dont play the new bass for a day, then slowly rotate it in lol...Im screwed if she reads this
