All in all I can imagine that thing sounds orgasmic and probably plays just as nicely as it sounds. I don't know if I could bring myself to take it to a gig, it would likely find a spot hanging on my wall.

But the hardware looks gold. ewwww. black or gunmetal or silver- anything but gold, yo.

I normally dislike gold hardware myself, but in this case I think it works perfectly: the bright gold of the hardware outshines the yellow hue of the maple, which makes the maple look silvery instead of brassy. JMHO.

I understand many won't like the body shape or the big angled motherbuckers. But there's something special about the silvery-hued maple offset by the black racing stripes... I've never seen anything like it before. Stunning!

Damned pretty. I love the color and the quilt... so deep. Quite the looker overall. I don't run from interesting and different instruments, so I would DEFINITELY play that thing.

They're quad coils. If you're not a person that likes playing right over the pickups or ramps, they can be pretty annoying. I was playing a 4 a couple of days ago with the quads in it. They're pretty good. They don't have that super-fast neck feel of the Fodera's I've played but this one was better than some other basses I've played. I'd consider getting one but I'd have to see what the discounts off list would be like.

Its actually more white/grey than silver in person. It looks silver from 10-15 feet away, but once you get close its just white/grey.

The pickups on that one are the triple coil, which contain both dual coil humbuckers and seperate single coil:

On my Okon, I love keeping the neck pickup in the "dual" mode for super punchy and fat lows and low-mids and then blend in the bridge pickup in single coil mode to add a little zing.

Mines even got the the right number of strings

i dont like this okon... i like the ones with the symmetrical bottom. but other than that it's gorgeous. bass alone was carrying a couple ritters the last time i checked...
