Until push comes to shove, I honestly don’t know. However, I have one bass that would definitely be on the short-list; Warmoth J body, Aerodyne neck, humcancelling Bartolini B-Axis pickups, 2-band preamp with active/passive + tone control…basically, it’s got it all! 
Definitely one of my Precisions and a Jazz V of some sort.

IF I had to buy off the rack today and needed the most bang for the buck in a pair of fives, these'll do just fine. I have the Jazz and got to round up the other one soon.

Based off recordings, I think a Serek Sacto with flats & a Dingwall NG3 would have me completely covered for anything.
I’m getting by with my Fallout with flats & Precision with rounds. I still like them a lot.
As much as I harp on Precisions being perfect, the Fallout (and based off recordings, the Serek) is close enough while being a bit juicier in a way that flats and foam just don’t bring the P to. I also sometimes want that SS neck pickup sound I’ve had on a few 60s basses that I’ve recorded with, though.

My goal is to have only two. A Yamaha BB 1024 and a modified Ray34. I'm in the process to declutter my life. Getting rid of things you don't need is liberating and satisfying. More time to practice and for the family.
