Curious question: If you could only use one brand of effects pedals for your entire bass rig. Which one would it be and why?

My board is mainly split between Source Audio and EHX, with 2 MoogerFoogers, a MarkBass SuperSynth, and a Digitech Jamman Stereo Looper rounding it out. If I were so inclined to stick to one brand, it would probably be Source Audio. Partly because their filters and synth pedal are superior, IMO, to the EHX filters and synths, and that would be an essential part of my hypothetical pedalboard.

I am familiar with Source Audio but haven't had the chance to use them yet. Based on what I gather they're a leading brand in bass tech with high rates of bit processing and MIDI Functionality. I can see why this would be important to your setup if you're using synths and filters.

EHX - May not be the best quality but they have an amazing variety of effects, are pretty much ubiquitous, and relatively inexpensive. Plus they also work well within a synth rig. About half my pedals are EHX, while the other half is composed of multiple brands. Most pedals on my wishlist are also EHX.

My board is mostly MXR and Iron Ether, but I do also love EQD. Then there’s fuzz and OD, which are completely different.

If you held a gun to my head it would be Iron Ether, but it would also be a pretty small board.
