Ignorant bass comment thread

Last week I played a gig with my Sadowsky NYC. This moron comes up to me after the last set and asks me what brand my bass was. I told him it was a Sadowsky. He said it sounded pretty good for a Fender knockoff. I laughed and told him they were really rare and boutique-y, etc. He bugged me for a few minutes asking how much it cost and finally I told him a new one costs $3500-4000. He laughed his ass off and told me his new Fender custom made guitar that waaaayyyy sounded better was $1000 new.:confused::smug:

Ha ha. Well, some people prefer the Fender tone to the Sadowsky tone, and he's entitled to his opinion... even though he was a d*ck about it. :p

For that reason, I never bother to explain my Sadowsky to anyone that doesn't recognize it. If someone asks, I just say "it's the nicest 5 string P-bass I could find" and leave it at that.
