Well, my new Golia bass finally arrived in Alaska this past Saturday morning. I asked Luciano to take inspiration and measurements from the Bros. Grancino instrument in the Contrabass Shoppe's collection and then to use creative license in other aspects of the build. He really delivered. One of the cool features that it has is a removable neck system with two different necks to play with. Currently there is a 4 string neck installed, but a 3 string neck is waiting to be tried out as well.
The pictures were taken in the full fall sun and the finish indoors is quite a bit darker, which I like. When I was setting up to take the pictures, I was walking the bass over to the stand and I could feel traffic on the other side of the hedge rumbling by in the body. It's really resonant! Enjoy!!!
