I'll just set this here gently and walk away...

the first 3 notes...

Thats all I could handle.

those first few mistimed slaps told alot about where this was going.

Somewhere in that jam there was a cool riff concept, but it was quickly lost to sloppy playing, and soon forgotten after he kicked on the effects. This video is a critical lesson in what not to do (or at least, what not to share with your friends).

"equipment abused" couldn't be any truer.

So THIS is what that dude who posted a few days ago about "resentment toward people with lack of skills/better gear" was talking about :hiding:
Right, because a higher quality camera would have made tons of difference! And skills, like getting the video to a format suitable for uploading to YouTube - using a process where you have to listen to what you did before you hit "send"...

Seriously though, who hasn't recorded a few cringe-worthy snippets on occasion? Admittedly, choosing to post them in a public place is a bit odd, but lessons come in many forms.

He might actually take decent care of it. Not like he's wearing a metal-studded bel... um, never mind. But even if the "equipment" you're referring to is our ears, really, it could have been worse. Believe me. (or not, but don't say I didn't warn you...)

Back in the day, we used to keep our clumsy self-indulgences in the privacy of our bedrooms.

Thanks to the miracle of the Internet, kids today can now share how dreadful they are with billions of others. Let joy be unconfined.

:hiding:

That vid sounded like what any kid in a music store does when they pick up an instrument and imitate what they've seen adults do. That wasn't serious playing was it? At least the OP video had a hint of musical experience.

All of a sudden, I feel more confident about my bass playing abilities.
