I'm a patient man, but ****

So I finally got the bass. The guy asks me if I like the setup to which I reply that I planned on putting flats. He tells me to bring the bass in and they would gladly set it up with the flats and I could pick it up the next day.

So I go home, play the bass for a week and then decide to bring the bass on Friday morning. The guy tells me that I can pick it up after work, if not, Saturday morning.

Well happens that the tech was sick, and doesn't work on Saturdays. No big deal, I'll grab it on Monday. Well happens that he doesn't work on Mondays, okay, whatever, Tuesday.

I just got a call - sounds like there was a short in the pickup. They have to order a new one which might come late this week or early next week.

What's up will all my bad luck :(

What could of caused a short anyways? It was fine before I brought it in.

Of all the possible Fender dealers in Canada, you find the one staffed by Chimpanzees.

Seriously. This wouldn't be acceptable at a Guitar Center. It wouldn't even be acceptable at a Best Buy music shop. In your shoes, I'd go in there and raise hell. You didn't order a Carl Thompson. This is a mass produced bass guitar from the largest electric bass retailer on planet Earth. I'm pretty sure bacteria on Mars can get their instruments faster than this, with less asnine screwups from their local martian guitar techs.
