A couple of days ago I went down to the locat music store in Anchorage AK. I played many basses. I picked up a Fender Jazz Bass 24 V string and was instantly in heaven. I'm still swooning.

The action, the way it sounded and the way it looked was everything I've been looking for. Once I get her I'm going to have to name her the "Mistress", because I can see the wife getting jellous of the time I spend with her.

I'm now debating the flat black or tobacco sunburst. I love them both. I'm leaning toward the black.

I'm not a jazzbass fan or a 5-string fan, but I got to admit that black one looks so cool.

Very stealthy.

It makes me think it is the Pagani Zonda of bass guitars.

Flat Black all the way, sweet looking bass, only way it could be better is if it had an ebony board, it is nice with the rosewood though.

ok, I'm sold on the flat black. I was thinking that's what i wanted anyway. I love love love the action on that bass too. so low. I play with a fairly gentle touch and this just suits me perfectly. It really did make me play better, which just blew my mind.

I too have the 4 string tabacco sunburst and love it. It's my #1 bass right now. Great tone... no dead spots. It sounds great with some Rotosound 66's btw!

Are the necks on these the same as a standard jazz?
I am looking for something with a super small neck, and I am in love with the looks of this!
