I'm just a beginner

I'm just getting started learning the bass (electric 4 string), I played 25 years ago and forgot most everything. I used to play the stand up bass (bluegrass).
When reading tabs, is there a difference between a stand up bass and electric bass tabs?

I would think a tab for any bassline would be usable on either instrument. Though trying to work out a tab on a fretless instrument such as a double bass is well beyond MY abilities, I'm sure there are many players out there who can do it with ease.
