String Emporium hybrid is a very nice bass for the price in my experience.

There are plenty of recommendations to be found within this forum.

There is a good search function, and you have been pointed to a good (sticky) starting thread.

Buying on "price point" only could be a mistake, if you don't address the issues of "what's it really for."
You might well find an excellent bass for much less than your budget.

There are many, many good basses available for $2500 or less. New, used, laminate, carved, hybrid and EUBs are available, all in your "range"

Geographic availability will have some influence on your choices, as UBs do not ship as easily, safely or cheaply as BGs do.
