are you SURE you were at Guitard Center?
That would be the ONLY one in the free world without the pincushion babe on the front door.

I think we have all experienced this kind of service at one place or another. It's caused by people not having the experience or training required to perform their function. I always try to find a "go to" guy that I deal almost exclusively with. My guy is not employed by them any longer so it's my responsibility to find a replacement.I called them last week to see if they had any rack ears for my amp. The guy I talked to on the phone assured me that they had something for my amp.
So I went to the Boston store over by Fenway which is a real PITA to get to at 4:30 due to traffic but I had the time so I went for it.
So I go in the store and nobody greets me or asks if I need any help. All the employees were just standing around talking amongst themselves.
I ask about the rack ears and the first guy didn't really know what they were so he sent me upstairs to their sound reinforcement department.
The clerk there didn't seem to knowledgeable either. He told me that rack ears are manufacture specific.
They don't have rack ears in stock!! Thanks for wasting my time!
Anyways, this was the worst customer service experience I've dealt with. I'm done with this store. I don't even like shopping there to begin with, they've destroyed so many mom and pop shops and are just a greedy corporate entity.
I am sorry if I offended anyone who works or shops there. I'm sharing my experience and this is not the first time I've had a bad experience with this company.
End Rant. Thanks for reading and sharing your experiences if you have any. Oh, and it's Friday, enjoy the weekend!

YUP, Deoindra, might I suggest you visit Humor and gig stories and vote in the poll for the Guitar Center SUCKS official club?I'm sorry, but I think GuitarCenter is just terrible when it comes to customer service and knowledge regarding instruments! (At least the people who work at the ones in Utah do!) The only reason I ever go there is because it's basically the only music store that sells basses for cheap!
Otherwise I'd be taking my business elsewhere!
I remember I was going Black Friday shopping there cause they were having a deal on guitar stands and other stuff.
I went to go pickup some DR Strings and all the employees behind the desk were so busy talking that I just stood there and waited for like 15 minutes! I then asked them if it'd be better to buy the Marcus Miller DR Fat Beam strings instead of the regular Dr string because I'd never used DR strings before. Well the worker told me they were both the same and really bare no difference besides price. I thought well then why are they two different versions with different names?
In the end I just bought the Marcus Miller strings, which are just great, and haven't been back there since!
Utah has absolutely the worst people who work customer service, every place I go into always has that one employee that has no clue or care for any customer.
Hartke, for one.My favorite is the "Huge Sale" promo and then...the exemption list:
What can possibly be left?

Products from the following manufacturers do not qualify for this offer:
3 Monkeys Amps, 3rd Power Amps, 65amps ... Zildjian , Zoom, ZVex Effects

It's like commercials for prescription drugs where it takes almost the entire commercial to list the possible side effects. I think I'd rather take my chances with whatever illness I have.
yeah I went there last month and they charged be 20 dollars for 20 rack screws!Go to the Pro Sound department and look in the corner. There should be a rack full of rack ears, screws and other rack stuff.
All the GC's around here have them.
You just have to be smarter than the people you are dealing with.
