I have recently commissioned a good friend and luthier to build a custom bass for me. He's having his website revamped soon and I've been helping him out with some pictures of his instruments for the new site.

I think a couple of you guys are being pretty harsh about the model, though I'm not sure why these pretty basses need any extra ornamentation. I'm not really into singlecuts, but the JB-ish ones are quite nice. I don't like the headstock, especially on the 5-string, partly because I don't buy into that particular B-string theory, but I *love* that logo.

I like the fretboard with the globe on it. That would go well in the corner with my telescope.

I'm not sure how well the Drozd-y pickup design works with that bass shape, but I wouldn't refuse one over it.

Lotsa controls on those. You can probably get nigh-on any tone out of that...
