So what she doesn't listen to your real music? What matters more is the music that she listens to inspires her to play guitar.
I listen to none of those guitarists listed. I know of them, just never cared enough about their music to study their technique. I might learn bits and pieces, or get musical cues and ideas... but that's about my extent of guitar-hero worship. While I'm aware that who ever I enjoy listening to probably was influenced from some guy who was influenced by another. I could research the source-influential player, but most of the time it's not the type of music I enjoy in the first place.
Heck, most of the bassists people mention all the time in the forums I don't listen to either. In fact, most of the time, I have absolutely no clue who is playing guitar and bass in the songs I like. It just never mattered much to me.
But hey, that's just me. My guitar and bass playing has been influenced by many artists spanning generations and genres, as a natural progression from the kind of music I like at the time. And not just going, "My important guitarist is more important than yours."
