Double Bass Improvised flight case for EUB?

I'm curious if anyone is happily using a golf club case or a snowboard case or any other repurposed case to fly with an EUB? I have a bugbass 2, the neck doesn't detach.

Gollihur Music sell one, which I believe is a Sportube. Haven't tried one myself, as I haven't needed it, but it looks promising.

A friend of the forum used a golf club case extensively with his eub worldwide. But if your neck is fixed might be too tall?
