In a rack...........

(Sorry to sound stupid)But do all racks do any/all amps and such fit in them? Im going to get my first rack soon and i've only seen them in one size. So does that mean that they will all fit in any rack? Also what all can go in a rack besides a power amp, tuners, ect.?:help:

There is one size for racks.. 19" wide. This is standard. Depth and height vary depending on components you wish to add.

1.75" is one U, or rack space. This is a standard as well.

The front panel of anything rackmountable is 19" wide, and a multiple of 1.75" tall, depending on the unit.

Things that can go into racks include: tuners, amps, power conditioners, compressors, other effects, DI boxes, wireless systems, synthesizers, drawers, etc.

Thanks guys,

Also what would be good materials to make a good sound with that could go in a rack(Just something simple)? Like a power amp, compressor, ect. I have a Peavey BAM 2x10 on top of a Peavey Black Widow 1x18 with a Peavey Mark III Amp. Any ideas on what would make a possible good sound out of that?

And again thanks,
Alex

As far as racks go, this is all you need for Sonicus Beautifus.
